COLTIVAZIONE – RACCOLTA E TRASFORMAZIONE DI  PIANTE OFFICINIALI

Uno dei progetti di Fra’ Elia è la coltivazione di piante officinali che si dovrebbe fare sui terreni circostanti le sue comunità. Già alcune comunità montane della Carnia si sono attivate in sperimentazioni che hanno dato degli ottimi risultati e si sono impegnate con la Comunità di Fra’ Elia per la produzione, raccolta e trasformazione delle stesse. Questo progetto darebbe lavoro e sostentamento non solo ai ragazzi affidati a Fra’ Elia ma anche ai giovani della zona che vorranno dedicarsi a questa attività.
In un futuro non troppo lontano, quando ce ne saranno le possibilità, Fra’ Elia spera di effettuare il medesimo progetto anche a Calvi che, in un primo momento, consisterebbe nella coltivazione di una sessantina di piante per uso proprio (vendita nell’Erboristeria degli Apostoli) e la loro trasformazione in estratti, oli, unguenti, succhi, sciroppi ed elisir che per il momento vengono prodotti, seppur con nostre ricette e nostro marchio, in laboratori esterni.



Cultivation- Harvesting and Transformation of Officinals Plants:

One of Brother Elia’s projects is the cultivation of officinals plants, which will be done on the land surrounding the communities. Already some of the mountainous communities of Carnia have started experimentations that have given optimal results; they have also committed themselves to Brother Elia’s Community for the production, harvesting and transformation of the plants. This project would give work and sustain, not only the youth entrusted to Brother Elia, but also the youth of the area that would like to dedicate themselves to this activity. In a not too distant future, when there is the possibility, Brother Elia hopes to carry out the same project also at Calvi, which at first, it would consist in the cultivation of about sixty plants for personal use (to sell in the Herbalist Shop of the Apostles) and their transformation in extracts, oils, ointments, juices, syrups and elixirs that for the moment are produced, even though with our recipes and our trade mark, in external laboratories.
